Contents pages

I'm writing to update my blog on my finished magazine contents pages for each model. Using the typical conventions of magazine contents pages that I had researched ( see contents page research) I was able to create two contents pages conveying the house style and giving the reader all of the information they may need.
1st magazine cover

In this magazine contents page I have chosen to use a similar image to the front cover so that the viewer gets a different angle of the model and her clothing, allowing them to fully view the clothing's design and encourage them to purchase it. I used the same masthead as my front covers to keep the house style and show that both genders can read the magazine but I have changed the colours as to differ slightly from the cover and regain attention to the masthead. I chose to use a blue and black title to compliment the image because of the black background and blue jeans. I have then used the same colour as the title for each page number so that it creates a classy, simplistic style without exploding with colour, by using a colour for each page number it enables the viewer to instantly see a page number and navigate to that page. I have used an italicised, serif font for the month to remind the audience that they can be classy and feel older than they are but also to remind them of which monthly issue that they are reading. I have created two sections, on the cover and contents, this is because most other contents pages that I had researched had this feature so that people could navigate straight to what they had seen advertised on the front cover. I chose the colour of the 'on the cover...' font to be red so that It juxtaposed other writing and the background, making it stand out and become more visible to the viewer for easy access.

Unlike my first contents page (see above) I used a slightly different location to show that women can be powerful and 'manly' as this is a stereotypical males siting position, promoting women's equality. I chose to use a red and black title to compliment the image because of the black and red clothing that she is wearing.
